Assigning an Activity to a Founder
Give a founder something concrete to do.
Activities are how you give founders concrete work between sessions. There are three routes to the same form, and they pre-fill different things.
- Assign Homework, from the ⋮ menu on a founder's row in My Founders — pre-fills the recipient and sets Type to Task.
- Create Activity, from Quick Actions or the Activities tab inside a workspace — pre-fills the recipient and links the activity to that match.
- Create Activity, from the Activities tab of the Advisory hub — nothing pre-filled.
Filling in the form
- Optionally use Load Template to start from a saved activity.
- Check Recipients. As an advisor you can also use Add Recipients By Cohort or Add Recipients By Tag to assign the same work to a group; the form tells you how many activities will be created, one per recipient.
- Enter Subject (Title) and Description — both required.
- Set Type, Priority, and Status — all three are required and none has a default.
- Optionally set a Due Date and Event Date.
- Leave Sender and Recipient Email Notification set as you want them.
- Optionally attach files by drag and drop, and link Academy courses or course collections.
- Select Create 1 Activity — the count reflects how many recipients you chose.
The founder sees it in their Activities list, and it appears under Open Activities in the shared workspace.
Please note: Status is required at creation with no default, so you have to choose one. Set it to New unless you are recording work that is already underway.
