Editing Your Profile Details
Update your name, bio, country, and timezone.
Open Settings from your avatar menu and stay on the Profile tab. This is your public identity on Startup Science, so it is worth completing properly.
What you can set
- Basic Information — first name, last name, tagline, and bio.
- Contact Details — email and phone, each with its own visibility control.
- Location & Timezone — city, state or region, country, and timezone.
- Online Presence — your website and other links.
Visibility
- Profile Visibility controls who can see your profile across the platform.
- Profile Role switches between your personal and role-based profiles.
- Each contact field can be set to Everyone, Connected users only, or Admin only.
Completeness
A Profile Completeness percentage tracks how far along you are and tells you what is missing — typically a tagline, a bio of at least 50 characters, and at least one skill are needed to become discoverable.
Use Preview Profile to see how others will see you, then Save Changes.
Please note: Tagline and bio are required for search indexing. Without them you will not appear when other members search.
