Pausing or Ending a Match

Change the status of a relationship.

A match can be Active, Paused, or Ended. Pausing suits a temporary break, such as a founder going quiet during a fundraise; ending closes the relationship while keeping its history.

Changing the status yourself

  1. Open the Advisory hub on the My Founders tab.
  2. Select the ⋮ menu in the Actions column of the founder's row.
  3. Choose Pause Match or End Match.

Please note: Both actions ask for confirmation in a browser dialog — for example “End your advisory relationship with [founder]?” — with Cancel and OK. Selecting OK applies the change immediately; there is no undo in the hub.

An ended match keeps its Open Workspace button, so sessions, activities, notes, and shared resources stay readable. It stops counting towards Active Matches.

Please note: There is no advisor-side control to reactivate a paused or ended match. Ask your portal administrator, who manages match status from the Advisory administration area.
