Publishing a Program, or Putting It Back in Draft
Switch a program between Draft and Published.
There is no Publish button. A program goes live — or comes back off — by changing one field, Status, which has exactly two values: Draft and Published.
Please note: Status lives on the Program Details step of the program's Settings tab. Opening Settings does not land you there: on an existing program it opens on Review, the read-only summary at the end. You have to navigate back to the first step.
Changing the status
- Open the program from the Programs Dashboard by selecting its name.
- Select the Settings tab. It opens on the Review step.
- Select Program Details in the row of step names across the top. On an existing program these are clickable, so you can jump straight there rather than using Back four times.
- Set the Status field to Published, or back to Draft.
- If you are publishing, check the Applications Open and Applications Close dates while you are on this step.
- Select Next.
Please note: Next is what saves the step — there is no Save or Update button on this form. If you select Cancel, or leave the tab without selecting Next, the status change is discarded.
Confirming it worked
The status appears as a badge beside the program name at the top of its page, and in the Status column of the All Programs list. Both should read Published.
Putting a program back in Draft
The same steps in reverse. Returning a program to Draft takes it out of the applicant-facing listings, so use it if you opened an intake too early or need to correct something before more applications arrive.
Please note: Draft is not the same as Archived. Draft means not yet live and still editable; archiving hides the program from all listings, events, evaluations, and landing pages, and is done from the Settings & Rubric step.
Please note: Once an application has been submitted, the application form can no longer be changed, so test it thoroughly while the program is still in Draft.
