Understanding Application Statuses

Behind the scenes, organizers move applications through a pipeline. Typical stages are:

• Submitted — received and awaiting review.
• In Review — being assessed.
• Shortlisted — marked as a strong candidate.
• Interview — invited to a conversation.
• Waitlisted — held pending capacity or a later decision.
• Accepted — offered a place.
• Rejected — not proceeding this round.

Each program configures its own pipeline, so the stage names and their number vary.

Please note: These stages are visible to the program team, not to applicants. You will hear your outcome from the organizer rather than seeing the stage change.
