Understanding Roles and Permissions
Learn what each role can do. Roles are assigned per portal.
Your role is assigned per portal, so you may hold different roles in different organizations. Your role determines what you can do and which modules appear in your sidebar.
Common roles
- Founder — manages startup profiles, uses the business tools, applies to programs, and works with advisors.
- Portal Manager — manages programs, applications, activities, members, and cohorts.
- Advisor or Mentor — works with assigned founders through the Advisory hub.
- Investor — investment-focused access to startup profiles.
- Provider and Team Member — additional roles used by some portals.
- Portal Owner — full control of the portal, including settings only owners can change.
